For you, to explore, discover, and understand yourself and others better through counselling and psychotherapy. It is all about understanding yourself and the choices that you have.Training, coaching and services for business are also available.
Should we work in person or virtually? Coronavirus has impacted how counselling and psychotherapy can happen safely. Working via video is different from being able to meet in person, it is still effective and safest while the virus risk exists. Some presentations and clients still need to be able to meet in person, this is still possible as precautions have been taken by the venue to minimise risk. Face masks no longer need to be worn in communal areas. The clinic space allows chairs to be more than two metres apart, effective ventilation, along with cleaning of surfaces and furniture between sessions. Hand sanitation dispensers are available on entry and exit points of the venue. Access to the extensive grounds and gardens is also still possible for walking and talking.
So, how does it work? By creating a safe confidential space, you can raise what is on your mind and affecting you (red). We can then explore what is really causing those thoughts, feelings, experiences and recognise them (amber). When you are ready and understanding your situation better we can work together to resolve your challenges and concerns (green). Everyone has a different experience, so everyone is treated individually with all the care and qualities you would expect to find from a qualified and BACP registered practitioner. Whatever your experiences you can expect the expertise to help you find your way to a more sustainable future. Through working with a mixture of cognitive tools and open discussion you can explore how your past relates to your present and ultimately your future.
Areas of work covered are; depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and all of the associated behaviours a person might experience as a result of them. Those might include anger, self medication through drink or drugs, emotional eating, treating yourself or others badly, poor relationships at work or home, difficult emotions, or simply not feeling comfortable in your own skin.
